This Year You Can Lean On Me 🫂
The power of community in the homeschooling space.
It's been nearly a year since I returned to West Palm Beach, and during that time, I've focused on re-establishing roots and building a strong community. As I reflect on my journey, I've discovered a shared desire among everyone I've connected with – a yearning to be a part of something bigger and contribute to a thriving community.
One might assume that building community is as simple as striking up a conversation at an event, the grocery store, or the beach, and voila! – instant friendship. However, I've come to understand that, like any meaningful endeavor, cultivating authentic and supportive connections requires time, dedication, and conscious effort from all involved.
The importance of community is particularly evident for those of us in education. As a former classroom teacher, I know how lonely it can feel . My experience in the classroom highlighted how isolating the job can be. And I've heard from many homeschooling families that they feel the same way.
